News God of Carnage Launches Seattle Rep Season Oct. 1 Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning comedy God of Carnage, a high-stakes parental free-for-all, opens the 2010-2011 season at the Seattle Repertory Theatre Oct. 1.

Wilson Milam helms the 90-minute comedy about two sets of parents attempting to resolve a playground tiff between their sons. God of Carnage will run through Oct. 24. The play is a co-production with Houston's Alley Theatre, where the drama will play in January 2011.

The cast features Hans Altwies as Michael, Amy Thone as Veronica, Denis Arndt as Alan and Bhama Roget as Annette.

God of Carnage has scenic design by Tony Award winner Eugene Lee, costume design by Deb Trout, lighting design by Geoff Korf and sound design by Matt Starritt.

Reza's play broke records in London and New York. God of Carnage earned Tony Awards for Best Play, Best Direction for Matthew Warchus and Best Actress for Marcia Gay Harden. Roman Polanski is currently at work on a film adaptation, which will begin production in 2011.
