Stari Theatre will investigate this and many other questions quintessential to Russian drama, when their production of Gogol's Marriage: An Absolutely Impossible Event in Two Acts goes up at NY's Access Theatre, April 15-24. Gogol's 1842 comedy about four grooms, three matchmakers, two servants, and a bride -- all dreaming of marriage and hoping to change their lives, goes through a new translation by Russian director Oleg Kheyfets.

Widely acclaimed for his ensemble performances, Kheyfets has had several of his productions broadcast on Russian television.
