Ray Roderick, James Hindman and Joe Baker created the musical about a 1960's girl group who reunite for a special concert. Roderick will direct the engagement from Aug. 12-22 at the Carousel House.
Golden (Xanadu, Hair, The Full Monty) will play Annie, with Freeman (Tommy, Walmartopia, The Civil War) as Barbara, Morath (Nick & Nora, The Pirates of Penzance) as Jodi and Quackenbush (Imaginary Friends, Annie Get Your Gun) as Karla.
"It's the new millennium and The Bikinis are getting back together," press notes state. "That girl group from the sixties that everyone loves is bringing back the sun, fun and all the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. In front of a live audience, The Bikinis, or 'The Jersey Girls,' relive their heyday and beyond, beginning the summer of 1964, the night these four inseparable girls got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing their bikinis!"
The musical will include familiar songs like "Under the boardwalk," "Danny Boy," "Polka Dot Bikini," "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "These Boots are Made for Walkin'."
