News Golf: The Musical Plays 100th Performance Feb. 22; Cast Album Available April 1 Golf: The Musical, billed as "the first and only Off Broadway musical revue celebrating the fun, frustration and humor of golf," will play its 100th performance at The John Houseman Theater Center Off-Broadway at the Sunday matinee Feb. 22.

The musical revue, in one of the Houseman's intimate studio spaces downstairs, began previews Oct. 6, 2003, and opened Nov. 19. Golf features music, lyrics and comic sketches by Michael Roberts and has a cast that includes two-time Tony nominee Joel Blum (Show Boat, Steel Pier), Trisha Rapier (Forbidden Broadway, The Pirates of Penzance), Christopher Sutton (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and Sal Viviano (City of Angels, The Full Monty).  The production is directed and choreographed by Christopher Scott and presented by The John Houseman Theater Center, Eric Krebs Producer.

A cast album for the show will be available starting April 1, via www.golfthemusical.com. Pre-orders are now being taken. The disc will also be sold in the theatre lobby.

On Feb. 17, Golf: The Musical began Tuesday night performances at 7 PM. Other performances take place Wednesday through Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2:30 and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at www.telecharge.com.
