The play opened its brief commercial run March 1. Performances began Feb. 24. The show began life Oct. 31, 2003, at the Tribeca Playhouse (111 Reade Street) and opened Nov. 3 to a career-making review from the Times' Bruce Weber, during that writer's waning days as the broadsheet's second-string drama critic. (Margo Jefferson has since assumed his position.)

Its closing date of Nov. 24 was soon extended to Dec. 7, and then Dec. 14. Artistic director Jeff Cohen, as with all Worth shows, directed.

Moonlight is set in the waiting room of a New York City hospital ER. There, an adolescent boy and girl of fragile ego and identity wait to hear the fate of their friend, while navigating tense relationships with various parents and siblings. Featured in the cast are Laura Breckenridge, Lawrence Jones, Kathryn Layng, Mark Rosenthal and Brendan Sexton III.

Skyler's background lies mainly in television and film. As an actress, she has appeared on TV in "Providence" and "Angel," and in the film "Book of Shadows: Blair Witch II." As a screenwriter, she co-authored "Getting to Know You." She also starred in and co-produced the movie "Final Draft," which featured Rosenthal.
