Babes in Arms and The Road to Hollywood, the current attractions at Goodspeed Musicals' Connecticut venues, will extend one week, the not-for-profit company announced Aug. 21.

The revised version of Rodgers and Hart's Babes in Arms, with a new book by Joe DiPietro, will now run to Oct. 5 instead of Sept. 28, at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT. Producers and New York theatre people have been flocking to see the show.

The Road to Hollywood, a new musical inspired by the old Hope-Crosby films, will play to Sept. 8 rather than Sept. 1 at the Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT. The latter plays a Thursday-Sunday final week, cancelling the Wednesday performance to accommodate the New York commitments of actress Leah Hocking, who has been cast in Dance of the Vampires.

Road to Hollywood is directed and co-written by Walter Bobbie (Chicago). Michael Pace co-wrote the book and wrote songs with composer Rob Preston.
