News   Gore More Years or Son of a Bush Opens Aug. 12 in L.A. The Washington D.C.-based comedy troupe Gross National Product will bring its latest political revue Gore More Years or Son of a Bush to the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble for an eight-week run. Known for turning headlines into punchlines, GNP mocks this convention year with election-skewed parodies, sketches and songs. The show was directed by John Simmons and is written and performed by the company.

Founded back east in 1980, GNP has been in the political satire business with such highly praised revues as Man Without a Contra, Clintoons and A Newt World Order.

The Washington Post described GNP as "a brisk merger between Firesign Theatre and the original cast of `Saturday Night Live.`"
