Every family has its secrets. Every family has its black sheep. What happens when that black sheep goes in search of herself through those secrets can be seen in That Ilk, playing Off Broadway at the Hudson Guild Theatre Sept. 17-Oct. 21.

Nancy Dean's That Ilk focuses on the daughter of Jewish family who tries to find her own identity by delving into the past of her ancestry. She is met with some answers and some strong opposition by family members who have been content to forget the past.

Jere Jacob directs a cast that includes Kathleen Garrett, Steven Gibbons, Susan Izatt, Sandra Kazan, Annie Montgomery, James Nugent, Loria Parker, and Jennifer Sternberg. Ilk contains music composed by Craig Brandwein, scenic design by Matthew Maraffi, lighting design by Michael Gottlieb, and costume design by Leslie Nuss.
