Directed by musical theatre historian Robert Kimball, Mercer at the Movies will be presented May 6 at 8 PM, May 7 at 3 and 8 PM and May 8 at 2 and 8 PM. Performers are set to include Sylvia McNair, Jason Graae and Amber Edwards with Margaret Whiting as a special guest. Charles Osgood will serve as narrator. Lyricist Johnny Mercer wrote more than 1,200 songs, including "On the Atcheson, Topeka and the Santa Fe," "In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening," "Moon River" and "Days of Wine and Roses." The "Lyrics & Lyricists" evenings will celebrate Mercer's contributions to the movie musical.
