Grace and Glorie, Tom Ziegler's comedy-drama playing at the Laura Pels Theatre will close November 10, two weeks earlier than its previously announced November 24 closing. The show will have played 23 previews and 129 regular performances.
Press representatives for the show were unavailable for comment about the abrupt closing.
Bonnie Franklin, star of the TV sitcom "One Day at a Time", just joined the production on November 5, so she will only be able to essay the role of "Gloria" opposite co-star Estelle Parsons for eight performances. A national tour of Grace, starring Franklin and Parsons, has been mentioned, but no cities or dates have been announced.
