Directed by Joe Barros, the limited engagement will officially open October 4 for a run through October 21. Additional casting will be announced.
The show features a score by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children’s Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book and lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel Nine Wives.
The Evolution of Mann follows Henry Mann, a 30-something single New Yorker eager to settle down. After receiving an invitation to his ex-fiancée’s wedding, he and his lesbian roommate embark on a quest to find Henry’s soulmate—his perfect date.
The production team includes music supervisor Vadim Feichtner, set designer Libby Stadstad, lighting designer Chris Steckel, costume designer Siena Zoë Allen, projections designer Nathan Scheuer, sound designer Ellen Fitton, casting director Wojcik|Seay Casting, production stage manager Kayla Santos, associate director Brian Reager, and associate producer Liz Flemming.
