News Greene, Kazan, Warren and Tilly Part of Women Behind Bars Reading Producer David Hamlin has assembled a starry cast for the Jan. 19 reading of Women Behind Bars in Los Angeles.

Those taking part in Tom Eyen's campy women's-prison drama include Little Shop of Horrors' Ellen Greene, My Favorite Year's Lainie Kazan, The Women's Jennifer Tilly, Dream's Leslie Ann Warren and Mandy Sterling. Justin Ross directs. There is a possibility of a New York reading of Women as well as a film.

Women Behind Bars is a satire of 1950s B movies. The comedy is described as the "story of a young woman framed for a crime she didn’t commit, [and] thrown into prison, where she learns how to survive and eventually becomes as cynical and angry as her cellmates."

The late playwright Tom Eyen also penned the book and lyrics for the hit musical Dreamgirls and co-wrote the book for Rachael Lily Rosenbloom and Don't You Ever Forget It.
