Transport Group presents the reading, part of a series of readings of Crowley's works, in conjunction with the Off-Broadway troupe's current revival of The Boys in the Band, the groundbreaking 1968 play about gay men struggling with themselves and the world. (The run was extended recently by two weeks, now to March 28.)

Artistic director Jack Cummings III stages the sequel in the same site-specific loft space where he directed The Boys in the Band at 37 W. 26th Street, 12th Floor. The performance is at 8:30 PM.

The Men From the Boys is set 40 years after the action of The Boys in the Band. The friends meet at the wake of one of the characters.

The reading cast will include Bogardus as Michael, Gregg Edelman as Donald, Anthony Newfield as Hank, Greenspan as Harold, Gerry McIntyre as Bernard, Nick Westrate as Scott, Jonathan Hammond as Jason and Eric Bondoc as Rick.

Greenspan appeared in a 1990s revival of The Boys in the Band Off-Broadway. He earned Obie Awards for his performances in Some Men; Faust Parts 1 & 2; and The Boys in the Band. He has also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Royal Family, as well as Off-Broadway's The Beebo Brinker Chronicles, The Learned Ladies of Park Avenue, Saved or Destroyed and Lipstick Traces. As a playwright, he has penned Jack; The Home Show Pieces and 2; Samuel II; Etc.; Dead Mother, or Shirley Not All in Vain; She Stoops to Comedy; The Argument; and Old Comedy. He most recently penned the stage musical of Coraline with Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt. Tickets to the reading are $19. Ticket holders for The Boys in the Band can purchase tickets to the reading of Men From the Boys for only $12.
