Joining the cast are Larry Pine (Gilbert Marshall), Freddy Arsenault (Perry Stewart), Kelli Barrett (Gwen Cavendish), Carolyn Stefanie Clay (Della), Rufus Collins (McDermott/Gunga), David Greenspan (Jo) and Henny Russell (Ms. Peake). Pine replaces the previously announced Stephen Collins, who has withdrawn from the production for personal reasons.

Four additional cast members for the production will be named shortly. Those four cast members will complete the company of 17 actors.

The Royal Family begins rehearsals Aug. 11 at Manhattan Theatre Club and will begin previews Sept. 15 for an Oct. 8 opening at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

According to MTC, "Follow a famous family of stage stars as they go about the drama of the day: choosing scripts, dashing off to performances, stealing kisses from handsome beaus. But what’s this business about the youngest diva wanting to quit the stage for domestic bliss? Never, darling!"

The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Maury Yeston (original music), Tom Watson (hair and wig design) and Rick Sordelet (fight director).
