Gregory Mosher will direct. The drama is one of Miller's most obscure, having premiered in 1977 and never run on Broadway. In the play, four famous writers and one woman who has relationships with three of them gather in an Eastern European city during the Soviet era. "The play asks the questions what happens to human beings, human behavior and relationships in a society that habitually pries and spies on its citizens, and what is the price of freedom?," according to Westport press materials.
Cast members include David Rasche as Marcus, Bruce McCarty as Adrian, Thomas G. Waites as Sigmund, Sara Surrey as Maya and Heather Kenzie as Irina.
David Rasche will be seen in Paul Rudnick’s new play Regrets Only at the Manhattan Theater Club in the fall. Bruce McCarty appeared on Broadway in the Steppenwolf production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and As Is. Thomas G. Waites acted on Broadway in Richard III and American Buffalo.
Sara Surrey appeared Off-Broadway in Where We're Born and Five Flights at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. Heather Kenzie appeared in All My Sons, Pride and Prejudice, Two Gentlemen of Verona and The Laramie Project at Rutgers Theater Company.
The production team includes Alexander Dodge, set designer; Clifton Taylor, lighting designer; Jane Greenwood, costume designer; and John Gromada, sound designer.
