Grimm!—An Evening of Original Adaptations based on the Stories of The Brothers Grimm is the name of the midweek show opening Jan. 30 at Sacred Fools Theatre and running through Feb. 21. The collection of stories presented in this new production is European rather than American tone. The adaptations are based on authentic Grimm stories, but have been generally selected from their more obscure work.George Larkin and Stephanie Bell produce for Sacred Fools. Larkin wrote the well- received 1999 comedy Dead Lawyers and most of the company's recent holiday show, Naked Holidays. Grimm!'s writers include Larkin, Joe Jordan, Haynes Brooke, Michael Farkash, Ruth Silveira, Brenda Varda, Erik Atwell, Scott Stein, Joe Seely, Dean Cameron and Joshua Rebell. The directors are Alexander Yannis Stephano, Shirley Anderson, Ben Davis, Sam Toffler, Denise Bernard, Mark T.J. Lifrieri, Aaron Francis, Padraic Duffy, Paul Plunkett, Dean Cameron and Jessica Schroeder.
