News Gross Indecency's Bill Dawes to Host Valentine Evening, Love Sucks Bill Dawes, who has been seen in the Off-Broadway productions of Gross Indecency, The Exonerated and Burning Blue, will host a Valentine's Day program entitled Love Sucks.

The 8 PM evening is the brainchild of Cedar Lake Arts artistic director L.J. Ballard, who jokes that she has never had a date on Valentine's Day. "I either have no prospects," says Ballard, "or if I am attached in early February, the person will break up with me two days before the Big Day — simply to save on flowers!" To avoid an evening with nothing to do, Ballard has created a "bitingly funny evening for NYC's Valentine's dateless." Love Sucks will feature performances from Dawes, who has also been seen on TV's "Oz" and "Sex & the City," as well as comedian Vince August, the creator and star of the independent film "Vincesanity."

About the upcoming evening Ballard adds, "There will be refreshments and an opportunity to mingle with others and potentially reverse the curse and meet someone special."

Love Sucks will be presented at Cedar Lake Arts, 547 West 26th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. Admission is $20 (singles) and $50 (couples). Call (212) 868-4444 or visit www.smarttix.com for tickets.
