Grosses Grosses Analysis: Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel’s Final Week Brings Full Houses to Broadway’s Waitress The Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen also welcomed a new title player during the week ending February 3.

Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles and Tony winner Gavin Creel concluded their limited engagement in Broadway's Waitress February 3. In their final week at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, the musical brought in $986,837, nearly 97 percent of its potential gross.

This marked Bareilles' third time stepping into the spotlight of her musical, for which she earned Tony and Grammy nominations for the score. Her close friend Creel joined following his Tony-winning turn in Hello, Dolly!.

The Tony-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen welcomed a new title player the week ending February 3; Andrew Barth Feldman succeeded Taylor Trensch in the role created by Tony winner Ben Platt January 30. The hit musical took in $1,196,117, playing to over 100 percent capacity at the Music Box Theatre. The 16-year-old Feldman begins with five performances per week with alternate Michael Lee Brown continuing to play the other three performances as Feldman builds his stamina.

It was also another good week for Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s seminal American novel To Kill a Mockingbird, which earned $1,494,445 at the box office.

Leading the pack, once again, was the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton, which earned $3,128,049, followed by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ($1,927,390) and The Lion King ($1,649,169).
