Sessions in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Orange County, Sarasota and Temecula are currently scheduled for Broadway Boot Camp, which brings young theatre hopefuls face-to-face with professional instructors.
Broadway Dreams Foundation has announced the Broadway veterans who will be part of the Atlanta Boot Camp, which runs June 5-10. The instructors, who will teach for the entire duration of the five-day Atlanta session, include Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Tony nominee Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening), Jennie Ford (Hairspray), Jenn Gambatese (Tarzan), Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid), two-time Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) and Amanda Watkins (Sweet Charity). Leading the program's band will once again be composer and foundation musical director Jeremy Schonfeld (Drift, "Clear Blue Tuesday").
Among the guest lecturers scheduled for Broadway Boot Camp's Atlanta program are three-time Tony Award-winning The Light in the Piazza composer Adam Guettel, musical director and vocal coach Michael Lavine, Clear Talent Group agent Jamie Harris and casting director David Petro (Altar Boyz, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee).
Programming for Broadway Boot Camp includes vocal coaching, dance instruction, acting and audition techniques, resume formatting, headshot advice and college preparation – all of which culminates in a final concert presentation entitled "Oh, What a Night."
