News Guggenheim to Host Anderson's Transitory Life: Some Stories in March Award-winning multimedia performance artist and musician Laurie Anderson will present her new solo work Transitory Life: Some Stories at the Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan in March.

Anderson's performance is presented as part of the Guggenheim's ongoing exhibit "The Third Mind: American Artists Contemplate Asia, 1860-1989," which continues through April 19. Presented March 12 and 13 at 8 PM, Transitory Life is described as "a collection of adventure stories, poems and music . . . created by Laurie Anderson specifically in response to the themes of 'The Third Mind' exhibition."

Additional programming for The Third Mind Live includes Meredith Monk's Ascension Variations (March 5); La Monte Young, Marian Zazeela and the Just Alap Raga Ensemble's Raga Sundara in the Dream House (March 14 and 21); Jung Hee Choi's RICE (March 28); Merce Cunningham in conversation with Laura Kuhn (March 31); Yoko Ono in conversation with Alexandra Munroe (April 2); performance artist Marina Abramovi (April 7); and Robert Wilson and Carla Blank's tribute to Suzushi Hanayagi in KOOL - Dancing in My Mind (April 17 and 18).
