News Guggenheim Will Highlight Opera of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt This Fall The 2012 fall season of Works & Process at the Guggenheim will offer a preview of the new opera based on John Patrick Shanley's Tony and Pulizter Prize-winning drama Doubt, as well as a play by Pablo Picasso and an excerpt from the Metropolitan Opera's The Tempest.

Season highlights include the Pacific Northwest Ballet performing George Balanchine's Apollo, Agon, The Four Temperaments and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux (Sept. 9-10); New York City Ballet's world premiere of Justin Peck's new work, featuring music by singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens (Sept. 23-24); and the American Ballet Theatre's highlights of choreographer Alexei Ratmansky's work (Sept. 30-Oct. 1).

Director Robert Lepage and artists from the Metropolitan Opera will offer highlights from The Tempest (Oct. 8); and Anne Bogart's SITI Company will present a reading of Pablo Picasso's surrealist play Desire Caught by the Tail, about the hardships of WWII (Oct. 14-15).

The Minnesota Opera production of Doubt, featuring a score by Douglas J. Cuomo and a libretto by Shanley, will be highlighted with performances and a discussion with the creative team (Nov. 4-5).

Peter & the Wolf, narrated by Isaac Mizrahi, will return with the Juilliard Ensemble (Dec. 8-16).
