News "Guiding Light" Star Lawrence Saint-Victor to Join Off-Broadway Cast of Black Angels Over Tuskegee The Off-Broadway production of Black Angels Over Tuskegee will welcome "Guiding Light" star Lawrence Saint-Victor to the cast April 5 at the St. Luke's Theatre.

Saint-Victor replaces Lamman Rucker in the cast, which also features Demetrius Gross, Thom Scott II, Antonio Charity, Layon Gray, David Wendell Boykins, Derek Shaun, Jay Jones, and Rich Skidmore.

Layon Gray wrote and directed the play.

In Black Angels Over Tuskegee, which is based on true events, "six men explore their collective struggle with Jim Crow, their intelligence, patriotism, dreams of an inclusive fair society, and brotherhood as they become the first African American fighter pilots in the U.S. Army Air Forces," according to press notes.

Black Angels Over Tuskegee is being produced Off-Broadway by The Black Gents, Edmund Gaynes and The Layon Gray Experience.

Saint-Victor's stage appearances include Six Degrees of Separation, Night of the Iguana and The Winter’s Tale. He received an Audelco Award for Black Moon Rising.
