The Off-Broadway Alliance presents its first in a series of planned seminars "focusing on the culture, business and history of Off-Broadway theatre" Feb. 28 at the Snapple Theater Center's Jerry Orbach Theater.

The afternoon, entitled The Bad Boys of Off-Broadway, features playwrights Adam Rapp (Nocturne, Ghosts In the Cottonwoods, Red Light Winter, American Sligo), Christopher Shinn (Dying City, Where Do We Live, Four, What Didn't Happen), Itamar Moses (Bach at Leipzig, The Four of Us and Back Back Back) and Stephen Adly Guirgis (The Little Flower of East Orange, Our Lady of 121st Street, Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train). Time Out drama critic David Cote will moderate the free discussion, which is scheduled for 12:30-2 PM.

"How exciting for us and for the Off-Broadway community to have two outstanding playwrights as part of our first Off Broadway Alliance seminar," said Peter Breger, chair of The Alliance, in a previous statement. "The seminar is perfect for anyone with an interest in Off-Broadway, from the theatregoer to the professional practitioner."
