Paltrow ("Shakespeare in Love") and Donovan Leitch are co-producing the jukebox musical that will be set in the 1600s. The creative team has not revealed the source material, which Showbiz411 reports as "surprising." Leitch states that the project is in the early stages.

The GoGo's songs include "We Got the Beat," "Our Lips Are Sealed," "Vacation," "Head Over Heals," "You Thought" and more. The GoGo's include Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine.

Whitty was last represented on Broadway with the Tony Award-nominated musical Bring It On. He won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for Avenue Q.
