Several of those productions found their way to Broadway, including the Tony-winning revival of Cabaret, which will end its length run next month. Mendes has also achieved success on screen, including an Academy Award for "American Beauty." His most recent film outing was "Road to Perdition" starring Tom Hanks.

Kate Winslet was nominated for Academy Awards for her performances "Titanic," "Sense and Sensibility" and "Iris."
