News Gypsy Stars to Sing on NBC's "Weekend Today" Tammy Blanchard and Kate Reinders — who play sisters in the Tony nominated revival of Gypsy — will appear on NBC's "Weekend Today" July 13.

The two actresses will perform their first-act duet, "If Momma Was Married," on the NBC morning program, which airs in the metropolitan area 9-10 AM ET. The Gypsy segment, featuring the Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim tune, is scheduled to air between 9:30 and 10 AM.

Produced by Robert Fox, Ron Kastner, Roger Marino, Michael Watt, Harvey Weinstein and WWLC, Gypsy — with a book by Arthur Laurents — began previews at the Shubert Theatre March 31 with an official opening May 1. The production — directed by Sam Mendes — features original choreography by Jerome Robbins and additional choreography by Jerry Mitchell. Jodi Moccia is the associate choreographer and Peter Lawrence the associate director.

Gypsy received four 2003 Tony Award nominations, including those for star Bernadette Peters (Best Actress in a Musical), co-stars John Dossett and Tammy Blanchard (Best Featured Actor/Actress in a Musical) and Best Revival of a Musical.

For her Broadway debut performance as Louise in Gypsy, Tammy Blanchard received a Tony Award nomination as well as a Theatre World Award.

Kate Reinders portrays June in the current Gypsy revival; her other Broadway credits include Into the Woods and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Tickets for Gypsy are available at the Shubert Theatre box office (225 West 44th Street) or by phone at (212) 239-6200.
