News Hahn and Johnston to Star in U.S. Version of "Absolutely Fabulous" Stage and screen stars Kathryn Hahn (Boeing-Boeing) and Kristen Johnston (The Women) will co-star in the American version of the hit British comedy "Absolutely Fabulous."

Variety reports that Hahn and Johnston will head the cast of the Fox series, which will be titled "AbFab."

Marcia Shulman, Fox's executive vice-president of casting, told the industry paper, "From working with Kate Winslet to Will Ferrell, it's [Hahn's] broad range of talent that inspired us to give her a development deal. 'AbFab' was bought with her specifically in mind."

Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley starred in the original British series.

A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Hahn made her Broadway debut in Boeing-Boeing. Her screen credits include Sam Mendes' "Revolutionary Road" and Neal Brennan's "The Goods: The Don Ready Story" as well as "Step Brothers," "Four Kings" and "Crossing Jordan."

Johnston is best known for her appearances in the television series "3rd Rock From the Sun" and "ER." Theatre credits include Broadway's The Women as well as Aunt Dan and Lemon, Scarcity, As You Like It, Portrait of a Woman, The Lights and Much Ado About Nothing.
