Hair Stars Will Go to Camp

Cast members from the current, Tony-winning revival of Hair — including Caissie Levy (Shelia), Kacie Sheik (Jeanie), Andrew Kober (Margaret Mead/Dad) and Paris Remillard (Tribe/Claude understudy) — will head to Stagedoor Manor, the arts camp featured in the Todd Graff film "Camp," July 24.

The camp is currently in rehearsals for its own production of that sixties rock musical, and the Broadway stars (as well as Hair producer Andy Sandberg) will watch the young actors rehearse, talk about the show's history and impact, and join Stagedoor students in songs from the musical.

Producer Sandberg, a Stagedoor alum, said in a statement, “Stagedoor was the first time I was surrounded by people who truly loved their craft and took it seriously. A group of kids finding their voice and learning how to use it. Now, I'm making my Broadway producing debut with a show about the youth of America finding their own voice, so to visit Stagedoor with friends from the Hair tribe could not be more timely or exciting."
