Grammy, Emmy, Tony-winning and multi Oscar-nominated composer-lyricist Marc Shaiman married Lieutenant Commander Louis Mirabal March 26. The two were wed in New Jersey following Mirabal’s retirement ceremony, honoring his 20 years of service.

During the ceremony, Tony winner Nathan Lane read “Old Glory.” Other guests included The Visit producer Tom Kirdahy, who officiated the wedding, as well as Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg and Patti LuPone.

Shaiman’s musicals include Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can and the Broadway-bound Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as the NBC TV musical series Smash.
