Simply titled Hairspray Goes Cabaret!, the evening at the Minnesota theatre will feature the vocals of the Hairspray company as well as the comedic talents of Bruce Vilanch, who stars as Edna Turnblad in the tour of the Tony-winning musical. Vilanch will also host the concert, which is a benefit for the Minnesota AIDS Project.

Cabaretgoers will have the chance to win a pair of tickets to the Hairspray tour, and a live auction will allow those interested to bid for a walk-on part in the show.

Tickets for the benefit are priced at $20 (advance) and $25 (at the door); VIP tickets are $40 (advance only). Doors open at 6:30 PM with a pre-show at 7 PM and the feature presentation at 7:30 PM. The Hey City Theatre is located at 824 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. Call (612) 373-2406 for tickets.
