News Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story Now Available Via Scene Partner App Music Theatre International has announced that shows including Hairspray and Legally Blonde, as well as the classic titles Fiddler on the Roof and West Side Story, are now available on the iPhone and iPad app Scene Partner.

Developed by MyTheaterApps.com, Scene Parter is an app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that assists actors in learning their lines via licensed e-Scripts. The authorized "Acting Editions" of the scripts can then be played back, creating a virtual scene partner for actors who are learning their lines.

Scene Parter also includes such script playback features as "Just Me," "Just My Cues," "Me and My Cues" or "Full Scene." Individuals also have the ability to record fellow actors and merge their line deliveries with the playback feature on the app.

The app also allows theatres to securely distribute e-Scripts to cast members. The scripts are accessible only during the permitted time dictated within the terms of the licensing agreement.

"One of MTI's missions is the creation of memorable experiences for our customers by supporting and helping them during every stage of their theatrical journey," said MTI senior operations office John Prignano in a statement. "With Scene Partner, we're now able to use state-of-the-art technology to help actors and directors maximize the rehearsal process by learning their lines through an interactive app and really exploring an MTI script."

Additional titles available via MTI are Avenue Q; Avenue Q-School Edition; Beauty and the Beast; Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson; The Drowsy Chaperone; Godspell-2012 Revised Version; Guys and Dolls; Little Shop of Horrors; The Music Man; Seussical; Shrek; and Xanadu.
