According to zap2it.com, the star of the "Hairspray" movie musical will play Teri, who works as an assistant at Elle magazine, the rival of Mode. Teri will bond with Betty "over their shared lot in life. Her befriending of Betty may come with an ulterior motive, however," according to zap2it. An air date for the episode has yet to be announced.
"Hairspray" marked the professional debut of Long Island native Nikki Blonsky. Her screen credits also include "Queen Sized" and the independent film "Harold." She will also be seen in "Waiting for Forever," which is due in 2009.
The award-winning ABC-TV series "Ugly Betty," which is broadcast Thursdays at 8 PM ET, is now filming its episodes in New York.
