Turtle Creek Chorale, boasting over 200 members, will be joined by the Richardson All-District Elementary Choir and special guest Blonsky for a concert of holiday music at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. The annual holiday concert from the Turtle Creek Chorale continues its tradition of requesting audience members to bring toys to donate to local charities.
Nikki Blonsky starred as Tracy Turnblad in the hit movie adaptation of the musical Hairspray, alongside John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, Christopher Walken as Wilbur Turnblad, Queen Latifah as Motormouth Maybelle, Amanda Bynes as Penny Pingleton, Zac Efron as Link Larkin, Brittany Snow as Amber von Tussel, Michelle Pfeiffer as Velma von Tussel, James Marsden as Corny Collins, Elijah Kelly as Seaweed and Allison Janney as Prudy Pingleton.
Directed by Adam Shankman, "Hairspray" opened in July 2007, nabbing $27.4 million at the box office its opening weekend. The record-breaking figure made "Hairspray" the highest opening movie musical in film history.
