News   Hairspray's Jolley to Star in Great American Trailer Park Musical in Raleigh
Comic actress Lisa Jolley, who appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, will head to Raleigh, NC, for the Kennedy Theatre's production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, June 30-July 11.

Jolley will be joined onstage by Gina Stewart (Good Ol' Girls), Michael Jones, Jesse Gephardt, Canady Thomas, Lauren Barone and Sandi Sullivan. The production will be directed and choreographed by Tito Hernandez with Jay Wright serving as musical director. The production is being presented as part of the "Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy" series.

According to Kennedy Theatre press notes, "With music and lyrics by David Nehls and book by Betsy Kelso, The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a hilarious tale that tells the story of Norbert and Jeannie (Jolley) who have been married for 20 years. With little electricity left in their relationship due to Jeannie's agoraphobia that keeps her cooped up in her trailer, Norbert's attentions turn to Pippi the Stripper, who comes to town. A colorful and comedic chorus of trailer park neighbors comments on his moral conundrum."

The Kennedy Theatre is located at Progress Energy Center (2 East South Street) in Raleigh. For tickets visit
