Sir Peter Hall will bring his London production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus to the Ahmanson Theatre direct from its successful West End run, where it received five Olivier Award nominations. The L.A. opening is set for Oct. 10. The run is through Nov. 28.

Sir Peter Hall will bring his London production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus to the Ahmanson Theatre direct from its successful West End run, where it received five Olivier Award nominations. The L.A. opening is set for Oct. 10. The run is through Nov. 28. The production stars David Suchet as Antonio Salieri and Michael Sheen as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Both actors received Olivier performances nominations for their work in London.

Hall recently directed two Shakespeare plays at the Ahmanson: Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Amadeus' performance schedule will be Tues.-Sat. evenings at 8 PM, with Sat. & Sun. matinees at 2 PM. No performance Thanksgiving Day. There are additional performances all through the run, with a Senior Rush and a Public Rush at specific times.
