The performer proposed to his girlfriend Ellie Woods, later revealing the news on Instagram.

Stage and screen actor Jordan Fisher announced his engagement to Ellie Woods over Instagram after preparing an elaborate proposal on May 20.

The pair are childhood friends, having grown up together near Birmingham, Alabama.

Fisher has appeared on Broadway as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in Hamilton, as well as in two of Fox's live musical presentations: Rent (as Mark Cohen) and Grease (as Doody). Woods is currently studying clinical nutrition at University of Alabama.

Fisher is also slated to appear in the upcoming Netflix sequel to All the Boys I've Loved Before, set for release in 2020.
