Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda hosts the October 8 broadcast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, which begins at 11:30 PM ET; check local listings.

Miranda, who is making his SNL hosting debut, will star in the forthcoming sequel to Mary Poppins, which is entitled Mary Poppins Returns. Miranda was recently in Chicago, where his Broadway hit Hamilton began performances September 27 at the The PrivateBank Theatre.

The pop duo Twenty One Pilots make their SNL debut alongside Miranda. The duo (Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun) recently made history becoming the first alternative group ever with two simultaneous singles in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100: "Ride," from their multi-platinum studio album Blurryface, and “Heathens,” from Suicide Squad: The Album.

SNL is created and executive-produced by Lorne Michaels.

Here’s a look at a Saturday Night Live teaser, which includes Miranda and SNL cast member Aidy Bryant doing her best Hamilton freestyle along with musical guest Twenty One Pilots.

In another promo, Miranda joined cast member Cecily Strong. In one sketch from the reel, Miranda jokes that even he can’t get tickets to his hit show. In another, Strong takes on the persona of one of Miranda’s more... enthusiastic fans.
