Hamilton Designer Reveals a "Splashy" Secret to the Show's Set

News   Hamilton Designer Reveals a "Splashy" Secret to the Show's Set
David Korins, the Drama Desk Award-winning scenic designer who created the rustic set that houses the Broadway hit Hamilton, revealed that the show's original production at The Public Theater concealed a pretty cool secret. A pool.

In the final moments of the show, Alexander Hamilton and his wife Eliza were left standing behind a reflecting pool, which was revealed in the middle of the stage. What makes this even more impressive is that the pool was located in the middle of two revolving turntables on the stage floor.

The pool was only used in early previews, and remained concealed for the remainder of the run at the Public Theater.
