News Hamilton Gets A Visit From Music Royalty Paul McCartney The Public Theater's production of Hamilton continues to attract celebrity guest appearances, the latest being Paul McCartney of Beatles fame. The show's creator and star, Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted a picture of he and McCartney backstage on March 4.

Earlier this week Playbill.com reported that former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, along with their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, also caught the buzz-generating show downtown. Read the exclusive report here.

Hamilton, which features a book, music and lyrics by Miranda. will transfer to Broadway, beginning previews July 13 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, with an official opening night scheduled for Aug. 6.

Hamilton began Off-Broadway previews Jan. 20 and opened to critical acclaim Feb. 17.The new musical reunites the award-winning In the Heights team. Tony nominee Thomas Kail is at the helm, with choreography from Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler. Tickets for the Broadway transfer go on sale March 8 at 10 AM via Ticketmaster.com.
