Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway hit Hamilton is planning its global empire, with foreign-language productions slated to premiere in Germany and the Netherlands.

Dutch producer Joop van den Ende of Stage Entertainment told De Volkskrant that the lyrically complex hip-hop musical has already been translated into Dutch, but the American team will need to make final approvals on changes and adjustments.

“Then we have at least two years to cast people from the hip-hop scene and learn acting, dancing and theatre,” van den Ende said. It will be at least three years before Hamilton is prepared to make its German premiere, with the Netherlands to follow.

Hamilton will make its London premiere next fall.
