Hamilton Star Appears on Election Eve Colbert Show to Urge a Child to Vote | Playbill

News Hamilton Star Appears on Election Eve Colbert Show to Urge a Child to Vote Jon Stewart also makes a surprise appearance doing spit-takes.

Hamilton star Javier Muñoz made a surprise appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as part of a get-out-the vote skit in which Colbert argues with guest Jon Stewart about whether a picturesque “orphan ragamuffin” should cast her vote on Election Day.

The extended musical skit involves Stewart pretending to be unfamiliar with who is running this year and performing two spit-takes on Colbert when he finds out. He and Colbert argue about whether it’s okay for the girl not to vote at all this year.

The question is decided when Muñoz makes a rapping entrance at the 8:08 minute mark.

The scene ends with “Now Is the Time,” a musical number staged like “One Day More” from Les Misérables.
