The new star of Hamilton will be honored with the Dare to Go Beyond Award during the 2016 HOLA Awards, which honor excellence among Hispanic theatre artists.

The Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors announced the winners of the 2016 HOLA Awards August 24. Among the honorees at this year’s ceremony will be Hamilton star Javier Muñoz, who has been named the recipient of the HOLA & R.Evolución Latina Dare To Go Beyond Award.

Additional honorees include Sunny Hostin (Hola Excellence In Media Award) and Modesto Lacén (Hola Excellence In The Telenovela Genre Award). Special recognitions will go to Ana Margarita Martínez-Casado, for over 50 years of excellence in entertainment and Hugo Macías Macotela, for his body of work as an actor, writer and director. Special citations will go to Víctor Cruz, for his work as an actor, screenwriter, director and producer of the feature film The Stockroom; and Artur Balder, for his work as a documentary filmmaker.

The 2016 HOLA Awards will be presented November 2 at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center.
