The actor will perform "America the Beautiful" on the NBC broadcast.
Hamilton Tony winner Leslie Odom, Jr. will sing "America The Beautiful" as part of the Super Bowl LII pregame festivities February 4 at the U.S. Bank Stadium. His performance will be part of NBC's Super Bowl broadcast.
It was previously reported that P!nk will perform the national anthem before the game, and Justin Timberlake will headline the Pepsi Super Bowl LII Halftime Show.
Odom, Jr. joins an impressive roster of artists who have previously performed "America The Beautiful" at the Super Bowl: Vicki Carr, Ray Charles, Mary J. Blige, Marc Anthony, Alicia Keys, Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Lea Michele, and Jennifer Hudson.
Odom, Jr., who was recently seen in the remake of Murder on the Orient Express, is working on a new solo album to be released later this year. The recording will follow his earlier releases, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Simply Christmas; the latter was recently re-released in a deluxe edition with new arrangements and new songs, available at LOJSimplyChristmas.
