News Hamptons Shakespeare Fest Kicks Off with Tempest, July 28 The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival will commence on July 28 with the Bard's classic tale of power and revenge, The Tempest. The production will play the Theodore Roosevelt County Park in Montauk July 28-Aug. 15 (opening July 31) and then move on to Agawam Park in Southhampton Aug. 20-29. Admission is free.

The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival will commence on July 28 with the Bard's classic tale of power and revenge, The Tempest. The production will play the Theodore Roosevelt County Park in Montauk July 28-Aug. 15 (opening July 31) and then move on to Agawam Park in Southhampton Aug. 20-29. Admission is free. The Hamptons Festival was founded in 1996 by Josh Gladstone and David Brandenburg. Since then, it has staged production of As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet and others.

Theodore Roosevelt County Park is located on Route 27, three miles east of Montauk Village. Agawam Park is situated at the corner of Jobs and Pond Lanes in Southhampton. For more information, call (516) 267- 0105.
