Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman will direct from an original screenplay by Andy Bellin.
Seyfried will play the title role, with Sarsgaard as Lovelace’s husband, Chuck Traynor. Azaria will play "Deep Throat" director Jerry Damiano; Cannavale and Noth will be "Deep Throat" financiers Butchie Peraino and Anthony Romano, respectively, and Patrick will portray Linda’s father, John. The film will also feature Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
"From the birth of the sexual revolution to the height of the feminist movement," press note state, "'Lovelace' depicts the life of Linda Boreman who as ‘Linda Lovelace’ became the first erotic superstar."
A Millennium Films Production, "Lovelace" is produced by Heidi Jo Markel for Electric Pictures, Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg for Untitled Entertainment, and Jim Young for Animus Films, with executive producers Boaz Davidson, Danny Dimbort, Mark Gill, W. Merritt Johnson, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short and John Thompson for Nu Image/Millennium Films.
The film is being made with the cooperation of the estate of Linda Lovelace.
Filming begins Dec. 20 in Los Angeles.
