The Tony-nominated Spamalot star has withdrawn from An Evening Without Monty Python, which is scheduled to play the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood (Sept. 23-Oct. 4) and Manhattan's Town Hall (Oct. 6-10). Azaria, according to the Los Angeles Times, withdrew due to a film commitment. He will be replaced by comedy and improv actor Jeff B. Davis. The cast also features Jane Leeves, Alan Tudyk, Rick Holmes and Jim Piddock.

Eric Idle and B.T. McNicholl will co-direct the 80-minute show, which will feature Python skits and musical numbers.

The skits and musical numbers were originally created by Idle, John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
