News Hannibal and Clarice Sing in SILENCE! The Musical with Broadway Stars and Tony Winner Pask at Fringe NYC Cannibalism, serial killers and FBI agents are fodder for musicalization in SILENCE! The Musical at the New York International Fringe Festival featuring Broadway actors and designers.

Christopher Gattelli (Hair - Actor's Fund Concert) directs and choreographs the work which plays at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, Aug. 12-28. John Pinckard, Mark Hartman and Brian J. Nash produce.

Songwriting brothers Jon and Al Kaplan provide the score for the musical parody of the 1991 Academy Award-winning "The Silence of the Lambs." Hunter Bell ([title of show] - NYMF) provides the book adapted from the brothers' pet project which gained cult status via the internet (helped by exposure in Entertainment Weekly, Maxim and the Opie & Anthony radio show).

Paul Kandel (The Who's Tommy, Shockheaded Peter) stars as Hannibal Lecter opposite Jenn Harris (Modern Orthodox) as Clarice Starling. The cast also includes Lisa Howard (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as Catherine Martin, Howard Kaye (Miss Saigon, Little Ham) as Crawford, Harry Bouvy (The Producers tour) as Chilton, Jeff Hiller (Slut, The Awesome 80's Prom) as Sgt. Pembry and others, Stephen Bienskie (CATS, Tom Jones) as Buffalo Bill and Deidre Goodwin (Chicago, Nine, Never Gonna Dance) as Ardelia.

2005 Tony Award winner for The Pillowman, scenic designer Scott Pask leads the design team which also features Hair's Jeff Croiter (lighting), Newsical's David Kaley (costumes) with Altar Boyz and Brooklyn's Simon Matthews (sound).

Gattelli co-adapted, directed and choreographed the recent Actors' Fund benefit concert Hair and provided choreography for the previous Chess concert. Other choreography credits include Altar Boyz, Bat Boy: The Musical! and tick, tick...BOOM! Off-Broadway as well as the national tours of Godspell, Grease, and tick, tick...BOOM! Producer Nash also serves as the show's musical director. Recent projects include Brian Lowdermilk's Red (orchestrations), The Sexless Years (music direction), Songs for a New World (Boston and Chicago) and the all-star Pippin concert (additional arrangements).
