The 8 PM concert is scheduled to feature several tunes from her latest solo recording, "Loverman," as well as surprise guests. Music directors/pianists are Ted Rosenthal and Lee Musiker.

The evening marks Cook's seventh solo Carnegie Hall concert. She made her solo concert debut at Carnegie Hall's mainstage Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage in 1975, in partnership with her longtime musical director, the late Wally Harper. The concert was recorded and released as "Barbara Cook at Carnegie Hall," the first of her three live Carnegie Hall recordings. It was followed in 1980 with "It's Better With a Band" and in 2001 with "Barbara Cook Sings Mostly Sondheim."

Barbara Cook, a 2010 Tony nominee for her performance in Sondheim on Sondheim, has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance in The Music Man, and her one-woman show, Mostly Sondheim, was nominated for a Tony in the Best Special Theatrical Event category. Cook was also seen on the New York stage in Barbara Cook's Broadway. Both Mostly Sondheim and Barbara Cook's Broadway were recorded for DRG. Cook made her solo debut at the Metropolitan Opera, which was also released on DRG Records.
