News Harry Connick Jr. to Be Inducted into Bowl Hall of Fame; Summer to Feature Cheyenne Jackson, Vanessa Williams Tony nominee Harry Connick Jr. will be among those inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame June 17 during the annual Opening Night at the Bowl concert.

The evening, which kicks off the summer season at the famed Hollywood venue, will feature The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra led by Thomas Wilkins. Proceeds will benefit Music Matters, supporting the LA Philharmonic's education programs. Additional inductees will be announced at a later time.

Past Hall of Famers include Kathleen Battle, Joshua Bell, Garth Brooks, The Carpenters, Sarah Chang, Roger Daltrey, Plácido Domingo, Sir James Galway, Josh Groban, George Harrison, Marilyn Horne, B.B. King, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Henry Mancini, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Founding Director John Mauceri, Liza Minnelli, Monty Python, Randy Newman, Bernadette Peters, Bonnie Raitt, John Raitt, Carlos Santana,  Frank Sinatra, the Smothers Brothers, Leopold Stokowski, Donna Summer, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, André Watts, John Williams, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson and Trisha Yearwood.

In addition to the previously reported staged concerts of Hairspray, the summer at the Bowl will also feature Dolly Parton (July 22-23) and Michael Feinstein and the Singing Stars of Television (July 29-30). The latter will feature Feinstein, Florence Henderson, Cheyenne Jackson, Dick Van Dyke, Vanessa Williams and more performing a parade of classic and popular songs from the Great American Songbook.
