"Resurrection is the story of six interconnected black men: a child scientist, a young man from the projects on his way to college, an ex-convict, a corporate executive, a health food store owner, and the Bishop of a mega-church, all of whom experience an unexpected phenomenon on the same evening that changes each of their lives forever," according to a press statement.

Obie Award-winning playwright Daniel Beaty was recently named the Aetna American Voices Playwright-in-Residence at Hartford Stage for the 2007-2008 season. This work, expected to be presented in the fall of 2008, is being workshopped as part of that residency.
